Minding Moments History
Minding Moments set out in 2006 to provide results-driven training solutions, offered in a variety of ways and all designed to be cost-effective. Nancy Whatley-Blaine, founder and president of Minding Moments, LLC, spent two decades in the training industry, honing her facilitation skills and figuring out how to take maximum advantage of technology-delivered training. She and her team specialize in what she describes as “simplifying the science of soft skills while engaging minds at every moment.” Courses offer a full spectrum of professional skill development designed with one thing in mind – helping individuals, teams, and organizations break down barriers and reach their optimal potential.
Since initiating her career, Nancy Whatley-Blaine has found herself creating her own unique niche - extending her positions and roles beyond what anyone envisioned when hiring her. Perhaps that is why, after being hired by Washington University in St. Louis (CAIT) to teach a communication class, she saw a deeper need for addressing interpersonal and team dysfunction issues. She wound up building a full curriculum of courses focused on High-Performance Team Development and turned them into a popular and long-running certification track.
It was while teaching this track that the Department of Defense recruited the Minding Moments team to perform onsite training to large groups of their workforce; helping leadership and workforce eliminate divisional barrier and create outstanding team productivity. The Minding Moments training experience wowed them. The client reported the program brought “improved teamwork, communication, and effectiveness every day.”
Minding Moments has worked diligently to translate the rich, classroom experience into an equally dynamic virtual training experience.
